Intermarine UK has been serving the shipping and offshore industries for decades, with branches in Portland, Southampton and Bridgend. Their areas of expertise in the shipping and marine industry include shipyard & voyage repair, conversion & mobilization and shipbuilding. We spoke to Craig Didio about the company’s recent experience of purchasing a large plasma, sheet rolls and a press brake from Selmach.

“Selmach gave a perfect service – no problems at all.”

What led you to purchase a new machine? What was the challenge or objectives?

We were setting up a new workshop, and we needed these machines to do the work we had intended for the space.

How did you hear about Selmach and why did you choose them?

Initially we looked around and eventually found Selmach on the internet – they were the best.

What features attracted you to the machine your purchased?

I’ve used these models before, so I knew they were reliable.

How have you benefited from the machine? Did it meet your expectations?

Yes, they both met our expectations, and more! The press brake was a great addition to the workshop as we can now run a programme that will enable us to programme in the exact length of material that we need.

Has it helped you save time and increase productivity?

Without a doubt. As we can now be much more accurate, and we don’t waste time.

What are your thoughts on the aftercare and service throughout the process?

Selmach gave a perfect service. No problems at all. If I called, they answered my questions and resolved my issues quickly.
